Welcome to our Rent and Drive FAQ page. Below we have itemized questions and answers that often occur when renting your car with Rent and Drive. We are fully aware of the importance of providing as much information as possible about your car rental. Please browse through the following Frequently asked questions if you are looking for further detail on your impending car rental. 1. What are the requirements.? The renter must be 25 years or older and driving for a minimum of 2 years or more. A security deposit of $2500.00 / $5000.00 is payable in advance and is refundable if there is no damage or loss and/or no violations of the rental agreement. 2. Are there any limits on millage? No. Rent and Drive offers Unlimited Free Millage. 3. What are your method of payment? (see billing and payment page). For Security reasons, call-in reservations / bookings can only be made with the following Credit Cards. Rent and Drive accepts the following cards:- Master Card, Visa, American Express and Cash 4. How do I obtain a driver’s permit? (see in SVG page). A temporary driving license, costing EC$75.00, must be purchased at the police station in Bay Street, or the Licensing Authority on Halifax Street, with the presentation of a valid overseas driver’s license. If you have an International Driving Permit you must get it stamped at the central police station. 5. Whose allowed to drive the vehicle? Only the renter who holds a valid driver’s license and is insurable under a rental agreement is permitted to drive the vehicle. Any other persons found driving will cause a breach of your contract and the entire deposit may be forfeited and the vehicle taken away. 6. Do your company do drop-off and pick-up? Yes. In order to better accommodate our customers, Rent and Drives offers Drop off and Pick up. Contact us to see if you qualify for this advantage. 7. Is there and emergency contact?
