RENTAL AGREEMENT 1. Insurance: the Vehicle is insured to cover Third (3rd) party risk only. The renter is liable for any damage or loss occurred during the rental of the vehicle. 2. By entering into the rental agreement the renter confirms that he has noted the condition of the vehicle rented to him/her. 3. The vehicle is supplied with spare tire, jack and wheel spanner and the renter is liable for the loss of any of these items. 4. Only the renter who holds a valid driver’s license and is insurable under a rental agreement is permitted to drive the vehicle. Any other persons found driving will cause a breach of your contract and the entire deposit may be forfeited and the vehicle taken away. 5. Office Hours are: Monday—Friday 8.00 am to 7.00 pm, Saturdays 8.am to 6.00 pm and Sunday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. 6. The renter pays for petrol; charges will be applied as follows: empty $200.00, half $100.00 and less then quarter $60.00. 7. A day is reckoned as 24 hours from the time the vehicle is rented. But, if you rent the vehicle outside of hours that person is still expected to return before the end of a business day. 8. A late fee of $25.00 for the first five 5 minutes — 1 hour, 1 hour -3 hours $50.00 and a day’s rental for any time after that. 9. The Rental is payable in advance. 10. On return of vehicle the renter will return the vehicle clean or pay for this service. The following rates will be charged if the vehicle is returned dirty: $20.00, $30.00 or $50.00 depending on how dirty the vehicle is. 11. Rent and Drive Limited reserves the right to have the vehicle inspected and checked at any reasonable time by its employee without notice to the renter. 12. Rent and Drive Limited reserves the right to repudiate the agreement at any time without notice if in the opinion of the owner of any authorized offer of the company the vehicle is misused, abused, or used for and illegal purpose or otherwise. 13. It is an offence to disconnect or tamper with the instrument on the vehicle. In doing so the renter forfeits the security deposit. 14. Rent and Drive Limited does not assume any responsibility for the loss by theft or otherwise of articles or personal effects left in the rental vehicle. 15. If and accident occurs the renter is liable up to the maximum of the excess for insurance of vehicle and other charges that may occur plus the loss of use. 16. The renter is responsible to get to our office at his/her own expense, however if it is convenient for us we may offer free pick up and drop off and delivery services. 17. The renter must be 25 years or older and driving for a minimum of 2 years or more. A security deposit of $2500.00 / $5000.00 is payable in advance and is refundable if there is no damage or loss and/or no violations of the rental agreement. |
